Welcome to Toastmasters of the Cove!
Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped millions of men and women become more confident in front of an audience. Toastmasters of the Cove is a club dedicated to assisting members become comfortable and confident public speakers and to develop exemplary leadership skills. Each Thursday evening, Toastmasters of the Coves membership, comprised of numerous professions, cultural backgrounds and varying interests, displays how we support one another to learn the mechanics of effective public speaking.
Whether for personal or professional reasons, Toastmasters will provide you the skills to make you a more confident communicator and presenter. The success of this program begins with Toastmasters mission:
The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.

Member Spotlight
Sally Jia first visited Toastmasters of the Cove in 2010, and the friendliness of club members and the energizing meeting mader her feel right at home. Since joining Toastmasters, Sally has received great mentoring from fellow Distinguished Toastmaster, Doug Evans, and has gained invaluable constructive feedback from all club members to help improve her public speaking and leadership skills. As incoming 2012 club president, she is excited to apply these skills to better serve Toastmasters of the Cove and the community at large.
Sally is a registered nurse, who enjoys helping people daily. Toastmasters has helped her become a more confident and accomplished communicator, as well as learning how to effectively interact with broad personalities. In her free time, Sally enjoys hiking, swimming, worship music, reading, dining and cooking.
